Oh what a relief today is! Even though I home school I still have my daughter tested to make sure she is mastering basic skills. It's actually more for me than for her. With the scores in hand I can know where to put more focus on in our studies. Today marked the final day of our 2 days of testing. This does not end our school year as we are basically going year round. Now don't freak out about that idea. We school 3 days a week at the very least with one day for her volunteer service at the local library and one day to catch up if needed.
In between we catch all the breaks the local public schools do and if something else arises it's no biggie to take another break. I find this way we don't ever really get behind nor do we get burned out. We enjoy the wonderful days of nice weather and hunker down inside for school when it's too cold or unbearably hot.
So now we play the waiting game~but we are not worried at all. In fact, we are busy planning our end of the year home school group trip to New Orleans. I am so excited!!!! But before we go we have one more big car wash/bake sale that (fingers crossed) will keep us from having any out of pocket expenses.
I am definitely thinking that at this point in the day that it's time for a tiny little power nap before I get to the neglected laundry and bit of house work waiting on me. :D Wish me luck in waking up and not sleeping the day away!!!!

About Me
- Balinda (RebelChick)
- Just an everyday girl trying to find my way in the world to live life fiercely and passionately. I was a signature tagger for several years but art journaling has replaced that passion and it feeds my soul creativiely and spiritually. I also homeschool my DD, scrapbook, play around in photography, spoil my cats and drive my hubby insane on a daily basis. My faith in the Lord helps me juggle all these blessings. I keep this blog because it makes me happy. Sometimes I blog a lot and other times it collects a little dust. Thanks for visiting and being my friend.♥
