iNSD Freebie 4 You ~ Photo Textures

I am one of those "wannabe" photographers. When I grow up...I would like to do that semi-seriously. I devour any info about photography tips and tricks. But in the meantime...I am just having fun. This past year I was very lucky to take Candice Stringham's Oh Shoot! class over at the Jessica Sprague forum. I only had a Kodak bridge camera but I learned so so much about using manual mode. I have since acquired an Olympus E-420. I was hesitant about the purchase cuz it seems everyone leans toward a Nikon or Canon. I, however, am finding that this nifty DSLR is a joy to photograph with. Another thing I learned over at Jessica Sprague forum is how to really use photo textures. They are ever so much fun! Especially if you layer a bunch and play with the opacity levels and blend modes on your layers. So while I was out today taking some photos and contemplating what my photo for Project 365 will be today, I photographed some things in my yard that I thought would be some cool photo textures. Since this weekend is iNSD, I wanted to share. I have met so many generous people on the www that this is my way of "paying it forward".
Now...on to the freebies!!!
This is with textures b+c+d all on overlay blend mode and about 50% opacity.

Freebie Photo Masks
I finally decided to "find some ME time" today and blow the dust off of my PSP and the trusty old Photoshop. I got the majority of a tag made I will finish and write a tut for. An awesome new class started today over at the Jessica Sprague forum. I will definitely make time for it. My Mom purchased the Beautiful Evidence class for me and I have done ZERO of it. Thank goodness the classes are available forever for ya's. I was also going to work on a scrap layout but instead ended up making a couple of photo masks...my first ones I might add. I think they are pretty, maybe you will too. I also made some smaller jpeg versions of them for PSP'rs.

New Tag Tutorial:EverAfter + New Tag Template
Good Morning Everyone! It's the last official day of summer vacation for my daughter. I don't know who is dreading the first day of school more..Me or her. It's still only 9 am here. I think I will let her sleep for another hour and then go get her up, otherwise she will sleep till the crack of noon. =o We need to go pick up a few packages of loose leaf paper. I looked into getting some yesterday at our local Walmart but at $1.50 a package..I passed. I want paper that is priced at 50 cents or there abouts..So it's off to Shreveport today. I am also going to treat her to a movie. She's mentioned she wants to see G-Force..not sure if we will see it in 3D or not yet.
I do have you a new template and tut before I head out for the day. I am not the most inventive template creator and most of the time they just come about because I am creating a tag. I love working with templates!!!!!

Next on the agenda is new taggage. I used the fantastic artwork of Maxine Gadd which may be purchased from My PSP Tubes. It also uses a fantastic kit called Ever After by TammyKat Dezignes which may be found at Pimp My Tags w/Scraps.

New Tag Tutorial:Toxic Rac (FTU)
I did a scrap challenge yesterday and this is what happened..So I decided to tut it. It's also how I ended up with the template in the previous post. =).
It uses the wonderful artwork of Ismael Rac that can be found at AMI and the awesome freebie kit from Kristin called Toxic Rock found on her blog here.

Wing-N-Blings Freebie
I am glad everyone is enjoying the freebies. I meant to get this up for ya yesterday but I ended up having a horrid migraine and on top of all that got caught up watching CNN and the Michael Jackson Death coverage. All I can say is WOW...I was just astounded at all the people just converging on the hospitol. I was not a big fan of his but it's still a very sad thing.
What I have for you today is my Wings-N-Blings Kit. The preview says tagger size but it is available in full size also which is very suitable for printing.

Colors of Love Kit:Freebie =)
This is one of my very first kits. I just love red!
It only comes in tagger size but the DPI is 300 so it's great for
a mini-album. The papers are generously sized at 800x800.

Happy Memorial Day + Freebie Kit
Happy Memorial Day Everyone.
Here is a little something from me to you in honor of this event.
I do want to take a minute and remind ya's that this is not just a weekend/day for cookouts and swim parties..but a day to honor all who have given their lives serving this wonderful country we live in. Which is why I named my kit...Don't Forget...Don't forget that our freedoms have not come without sacrifice. This is my small way this holiday to share and be thankful for all that we are blessed with by living in the United States.

A Mask for your tagging pleasure
Well for the life of me it seems I can't find the mojo to tag. So I am just gonna wait it out and when inspiration returns I will pop out some pretties..hopefully anyhow. On top of that, we got adopted by a stray kitten a few months back. I have worked very hard to get him to trust me enough to let me pet him. Well I did it and can even put him in my lap for a few seconds. He loves his head and belly rubbed tremendously. Well that little bugger did a number on me Wednesday night. While on the phone to my hubby, I decided to sit out on the porch and pet the cat. Apparently he didn't think I was petting him enough and bit the fire out of me on my right hand.
All four of his longest teeth right into the meat of the top of my hand right where it's really meaty below the thumb. And on top of that...the little bugger didn't let go right away. But when he did..the blood was gushing a bit (sorry if that grossed ya out) Now it's infected. I took all the precautions and added antibiotic ointments to it. It's some better but if does not continue to get better, I suppose I will go to the quick care office and see if they can look at it. Goodness knows I don't wanna get some weird ailment from it. I watch too much Mystery Diagnosis on the TV...LOL..my imagination can get quite wild if I let it.
Anyhow...I dunno what prompted that story. I don't usually ramble. I have a stash of masks on my desktop and I was too lazy to go get them and upload them from there..so I fiddled around in psp and made this to share. Memorial Day is coming soon, so maybe you will find a good use for it.

Love Always--Freebie Kit

So...I dedicate this kit to my Mom who somehow puts up with my moodiness

Tag Templates #9 and #10
It's been a loooonnngggg week. I had in my plans to have a computer free weekend last Friday, Sat, and Sunday. Well I got my wish..plus a few days. Tornados and straight line 70 mph winds did the trick and I was without power until last night.
It wasn't being without power that really bothered me...I just wanted to take a bath. I could have went to my Mom's as she got power back before I did but I could not go off and leave my cats here shut in nor could I leave my house open. So we stuck it out and I read an entire book in that time...flipped thru numerous scrapbook magazines and took a few naps.
I have a Mother's Day Freebie kit that I will get all finished up in the morning and posted..but tonite I have a couple tag templates for ya I piddled about and made. I was trying to make a tag and the mojo was not there for that..so I did this instead.
I hope ya like and as always would dearly love to show off anything ya create with them here on the ole blog. =)
